We’ve commenced our “Learn To Skate – Beginner’s Training” in Kingfisher, Tramore Rd, Waterford every Tuesday from 8-10pm! If you’d like to give it a go, please let us know by sending an email to SouthlandRollerDerby@gmail.com or send us a private message on our official facebook page HERE.

First night is free to try!

 

Due to a limited amount of spare protective gear and skates, please let us know your shoe size before attending so we can let you know if we have skates for you to try on.

Beginners Skating – Free Open Night!

WE’RE RECRUITING! If you’re interested in learning to skate and playing Roller Derby, come along to our FREE Open Night in WIT Arena on Tuesday, 18th September 2018 @ 8pm!

Our league has a Women’s team, Southland Sirens and a Men’s team, Southland Buccaneers, so we train both men & women over 18. Absolutely NO EXPERIENCE on skates required.

We’ll teach you everything from the very start. We weren’t born with wheels on our feet but some of us spent our childhood on skates and some of us NEVER wore a pair of skates but it’s never too late to give it a go!

So how about you take the chance and come along on the 18th and have a look to see what exactly we do and maybe try on a pair of skates!

Bring friends if you’re nervous to come on your own but we’re a welcoming bunch!

Keeping Fit in 2018!

dc0a3c27c2e6241f39a7595d65148d09Summer is around the corner so why not start a completely new activity by learning to skate! Roller Derby is our sport but before any of that, you have to learn to skate.

We teach you everything you need to know from the very start with our Beginner’s Skating course.  You don’t need any skating experience.  Some of our current teammates never wore a pair of skates before their first night.  You have to start somewhere so why not give it a go!

If you’re a bit nervous but curious about what we do, pop along to WIT Arena any Tuesday night from 8pm – 10pm if you want to have a look and maybe try on some skates before committing to anything.

We train men and women (18+) and our current members range in age from 20 to 55yrs so it’s a great place to have fun, make friends, keep fit and have a lot of laughs!

IT’S OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY!

Today is an exciting day for our league! Today we celebrate our FIRST birthday! We can’t believe it’s been a year already. It’s been such a fantastic journey and we cannot wait for many more derby filled years to come. We’ve grown so much over the last 12 months and what better way to celebrate our first birthday than launching our league & Waterford’s first Men’s Roller Derby team, Southland Buccaneers Roller Derby.

Fundraiser: Pub Quiz @ Oskars

Southland Sirens Roller Derby are joining forced with The Shadows Inline Hockey Club to raise much needed funds for both our leagues.  If you’re looking for something fun to do in Waterford on Friday, 15th April 2016, pop down to Oskars for our fun filled pub quiz and meet the team!  We hope to see you there!
